“Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.”

– Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma (2014)

Welcome to our 8-week, weekly, virtual Trauma group

A Soft Landing Place for Healing Together

Overcoming trauma, while growing emotionally, intellectually and spiritually, is a journey that can be both challenging and rewarding. Trauma work is a sacred journey, and sometimes the path of recovery can feel daunting, overwhelming, and even lonely.

If you're looking for a place where you can share, listen, and heal alongside others who truly understand what you're going through, you've arrived.

Our 8-week trauma support group is designed to be a nurturing and supportive environment where you can find comfort, strength, and connection. Additionally, this group is a place to learn and practice tools and techniques that will support your trauma work.

What we offer

This group is not a replacement for your individual work with your trauma therapist. Instead, it's a powerful supplement, offering a different kind of support that can enhance your healing journey. Here’s what you can expect:

Community and Connection: You'll be joining a group of people who, like you, are navigating the complexities of trauma recovery. The shared experiences and understanding can be incredibly validating and comforting.

Guided Sessions: Each week, we'll focus on different aspects of trauma recovery, led by an experienced trauma therapist who specialize in trauma-informed care. These sessions are structured to provide insights, tools, and practices that you can integrate into your daily life.

Safe Sharing Environment: We foster a space where you can share your experiences, feelings, and thoughts without fear of judgment. Every story is honored, and every emotion is valid.

Practical Tools: You'll learn and practice various coping strategies and techniques that can help you manage symptoms, reduce stress, and build resilience.

Our approach

We believe in the power of community care to complement individual therapy. Our approach is holistic and person-centered, recognizing that each individual's journey with trauma is unique. Here, you'll find a blend of psychoeducation, mindfulness practices, and support between sessions.

Is this group right for me?

If you’re already working with a trauma therapist and looking for additional support, our group might be the perfect fit. It’s designed for those who are ready to connect with others, share their journey, and learn new ways to cope and thrive.
