Are you exhausted from feeling hijacked by overwhelming anxiety, body sensations, shame/guilt, and feeling out of control? You deserve more than to spend any more of your precious life held hostage by the things that have happened to you.

Trauma doesn’t just happen to our minds. Trauma changes our relationship with ourselves, the way we move through the world, and who and if we trust. When we’re healing from trauma, we have to address the body sensations, behavioral impulses that get stuck in the body, emotional responses, identifying which parts of the event were traumatic, and naming the shame belief that is connected to the trauma. Thoughts only address the behaviors and emotions - not the unprocessed, activated energy that is playing on a loop in the nervous system.

I specialize in working with trauma and PTSD using neurological approaches to address the many manifestations of trauma such as depression, shame, addiction, and anxiety.

Using various trauma treatments, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), and Cognitive Process Therapy (CPT), we will work together to will support you in exploring your past experiences in a safe space, at your own pace so that you can get past your past and live a meaningful, and embodied life.

Therapy can be scary and taking the first step of reaching out for a consultation call is the scariest step because there are so many unknowns and “what ifs?” involved. My clients have shared that after that the first call, they feel less anxiety moving forward and their anxiety significantly reduces with each session.

As a trauma-informed therapist, I explain exactly what we are doing and how we are going to do it so there are no surprises. I work within your comfort zone and move at your own pace, while resourcing throughout, to help you feel more prepared to handle whatever comes up in session. Together, we will push the boundaries of your comfort zone, because that is where real change and growth occur. You are not alone and you’ll have full control every step of the way.

I work with clients in their late teens (15+) and adults with a variety of presenting issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, life transitions, addictions, self-esteem, and suicidal ideation… to name a few. I am a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and despite having attended a Christian university, I personally do not subscribe to any religious beliefs. I work with clients of all beliefs, whether they are Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, or atheist, and will integrate your beliefs as little or as much as you would like in our work.
